DESTINY

(Diversity, Education and Support To INspire Youth)

is a non-profit, peerbased support group whose mission is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental meeting space to LGBTQA youth up to age 22 in the Roanoke Valley. The group offers open discussion, educational activities, social events, emotional support, and resources.

The goal of DESTINY is to provide a positive environment for personal growth through promoting acceptance and increasing the self-esteem of LGBTQA youth.

DESTINY is an open group that is alcohol and drug free. Affiliation with DESTINY is not conditional on one’s sexual orientation or gender identity. All are welcome.

DESTINY currently meets on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month from 5-7 PM at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Blue Ridge located at 806 Jamison Avenue SE Roanoke, VA 24013.
